Finances

The Finance Department is responsible for all activities pertaining to the municipality’s financial transactions. It ensures the sound management of the municipal finances, and works closely with the other municipal departments.

This section provides the following services, among others:

  • accounting and budget oversight;
  • preparation of the budget and financial statements;
  • property tax billing and collection;
  • processing of accounts payable;
  • preparation of employee payrolls;
  • financing of investment activities; and
  • implementation and monitoring of internal controls.
