The Chief Administrative Officer

As the municipality’s senior official, the Chief Administrative Officer is in charge of ensuring that it is properly managed. The Chief Administrative Officer’s powers and duties are essentially set out in law, and in this regard he/she:

  • is the point of contact between the municipal council, the different committees, and the municipal employees;
  • assists the municipal council and its committees with preparing the budget, and if necessary, the capital investment program;
  • reviews and follows up on complaints and claims against the municipality; and
  • attends the municipal council meetings.

In addition to these different activities, the Chief Administrative Officer of the Municipalité de Grenville-sur-la-Rouge also serves as Municipal Registrar, access to information officer, and head of human resources and labour relations.
